Why Go To Living Waters Christian Fellowship?

Most people we talk to truly desire to have a deeper meaning and purpose to their life than just existing day to day but the church is the last place they would go to find it. For them, and maybe for you, church is boring, negative, irrelevant, and antiquated, unable to meet their personal life challenges. Yet they don t want to give up on God at all. Frankly, there are many things about church that turn can turn a person off. At Living Waters we are committed to being as real as we are relevant and as truthful as we are loving. Our goal is to remove as many obstacles as possible.

Listed below are some common complaints about churches and how we address them.

"All I ever hear are things that have nothing to do with real life." Image

Our Church teaching staff is committed to addressing real life issues that affect you on a daily basis, such as your relationships with people, how to make good decisions, how to live day to day.

"The people use words I ve never heard before. It's like they have their own language. It makes me feel like an outsider."

We are very conscious about not using "Christianese" words. If we do we will explain them first. The message of each service is designed to apply to your life by being practical and relevant.

"Everybody at church acts like they're so perfect, and I know they're not. Their nothing but a bunch of Hypocrites!"

We firmly believe that the only perfect one is God. And we know we're not God! That's why we need a Savior. Image We may not be perfect but we are genuine, and we mean it. If you're looking for the perfect church, don't join it, because once you do, it won't be perfect anymore!

"I won't fit in. I'm not like everybody else."

We aren't looking for flawless people, so we don't expect you to be either. Come as you are, come dressed in whatever makes you comfortable, (within reason!) come ready to meet people who want you to know them as they really are, and who want to know you as you are.

"Churches are always asking for money."

We are very careful about this touchy subject. It's true, the church does need money to operate and the only source of money are the people who attend. But, we firmly believe that God is the one who should inspire you to give, not guilt-producing messages from the pastor. The God we serve is a great God! He has promised to meet your every need. When you visit us for the first time we don't want you to give! We want your family to live more abundantly today and plan for better tomorrows. When you begin to attend regularly, we hope that you give out of your own commitment and trust in Jesus Christ, not from pressure tactics. God loves it when the giver "delights" in the giving. (2 Corinthians 9:7)

"Churches are always fighting over stupid things."

We don't and won't argue over trivial matters. But, there are some things that we consider essential to our faith and these we are committed to.

"I'm not into music from the 17th century."

Image         We want to sing and play music that will help you see the Almighty God, not put you to sleep or make you wish you were in another galaxy far, far, away. So, bring your ear-plugs and get ready to rock!
